Sometimes I am troubled
Sometimes I am blue
But I know deep
Inside my heart
There’s a Soulful me
That needs to be seen
More often than not.

You are the one
That’s patient and kind
You are the one
That encourages me
To resist saying words
That produces harm.

Tis difficult
In many ways
To resist
My humanness
For it thrives on
Drama and chaos.

But knowing you
Are always with me
Gives me an edge
And a willingness
To modify my reactions
With all my encounters.

Your presence
Provides me comfort
And gives me courage
To live fully into
Each experience
With kindness
And compassion.

You are destined
To be part my life
Sharing
Togetherness
Even in 
My blindness.
