Unknown Parts 3/1/2023

A vision of an angel
In my mind’s eye
Gently comforting me
As I cry away my pain
From an unexpected awry.

This invisible and elusive
Feeling of love
Ignites a sense
Of gratitude
That lingers with me
For quite some time.

Until reality resurfaces
And once again
Thrown back into
Repetitive
Mindless
Thoughts.

But something changed
For there’s an
Underlying peacefulness
A humming gentleness
That I didn’t know
Existed before.

Do I accept this gift of love
From my unseen angel
Or discount it as an
Imaginary thought?

Tis a choice
And willingness
To think and explore
Outside the box
For much beauty
And love
Exists in the unknown
Parts of life.
