Taking Chances 03/27/2023

Matching numbers
In a game of dice
Then adding up points
To see who wins it
Is part of the task.

When all five dice
Are the same
You scream
Yahtzee
And feel the rush
Go to your brain.

How excited
And exhilarated
This moment feels
Beating
The unbeatable
In the simple game
Of dice.

We must all discern
How to interpret
Rules and strategies
Presented to us
In our game of life.

Do I allow stress
And worry
To suck out the fun
In my personal
Achievements
Or not?

Taking chances
Allowing change
Are part of the
Choices we make
Every day
Tis the only way
We learn how to fly
Without anyone’s help.
