Complete and Whole 03/31/22023

Picking at this and that
Being irritable in the moment
Not understanding
Why I feel this way
Is my human self
Not happy today? 

Aware of these emotions
And how they make me feel
But do I continue
Picking away relentlessly
For the rest of the day
Or become realigned
With my heart and soul
Who would like
To have a nice day? 

Closed my eyes
And immediately feel
The presence
Of my Soul appear
Welcoming me
Like a best friend would
Bringing me warmth
And a sense of gratitude
Into my heart space.

 A smile appears on my face
Realizing my soul
Is wishing me
A happy birthday. 

Tears begin to puddle
And a lump forms
In my throat
So much love is felt
How can this day
Get any better than this. 

So many wonderous things
Can be imaged and felt
When we connect with
Who we are
Making one feel
Complete and whole.
