Staying Alive 04/18/2022

Lying awake
Staring at the ceiling
Pondering parts of life
That don’t make sense
At the moment
Knowing intuitively
It will in time.

Tis difficult
Staying alive
In peacefulness
As emotional struggles
Take a heavy toll
On the human self.

Confused by
Actions to take
Acknowledging now
Wisdom and guidance
My emotions
Are offering me
In this healing space
Within life.

Stepping back
To pause
Closing my eyes
As deep breathing
Begins slowly.

Need to experience
A higher state of awareness
Often finding
Answers seeking.

Acknowledging
This learning moment
That life
Is full of choices
Offering experiences
Needed to expand
And grow
From the heart.
