Found It 4/22/2022

Pondered deeply
Within my thoughts
Reminiscing back
When I didn’t remember
Who I was.

Never felt comfortable
Speaking out loud
About God
For I was unsure
About my feelings
So just continued
With what I understood.

Appreciated my human role
And did quite well
Often longed though
For something different
But didn’t know
What or how.

Years passed timelessly
Thought I understood life
Until a tragedy
Taught be otherwise.

And that’s when
I found
What I’m looking for
Within my heart
And within my core.

It encouraged healing
Embraced myself lovingly
Without wanting
Anything in return
Except love.

Still learning about
The Soulful Me
Acknowledging
I’m just a small part
Of the bigger Heart
Also known
As Christ or God
The Universe.
