In my dreamy state
An image of me
Sitting
In a roller coaster
At the top
Of a hill.

Pensive and fearful
Sensing the movement
About to begin
Wondering what’s
Going to happen next.

Eyes closed tightly
Gritting my teeth
Expecting the worse
But in that moment
A sense of liberation felt
Knowing I have
Nothing to lose
And everything to gain.

A downward pull felt
Smiling and laughing
Adrenaline tingles
As letting go begins.

Feeling the upliftment
No thoughts
No expectations
Exist
While passing through
Freedom
To the other side of fear
Where only love exists.
