One day
Contentment
And serenity
Will fill my life.

No more
Overreactions to
Sadness and sorrow
For events
That have
Already occurred
In the past.

Do I continue
Wanting and wishing
For circumstances
To change?

Don’t want to be
Anymore
Like a passenger
On a bus
Letting someone
Else’s thoughts
Control my life.

Decide one day
Maybe today
To change
Directions
And change
Perspectives.

Putting my heart
In charge
Of driving
My life
By listening to
The quiet guidance
That’s whispering to me
For some time
Now.
