Crosses We Carry 8/9/2023

The crosses we carry
Can be heavy or light
Depending on whether
We face fear or not.

For fear is the root cause
Of what we can’t let go
And the root cause of
All our struggles.

Are we afraid of the darkness?
And the monsters that roam
Freely in our thoughts?

Are we afraid of change?
That keep us in closed quarters
Never being able to see
From a higher perspective
Or a differ viewpoint.

Are we afraid of the secrets?
We keep from the past
That live dormant in our body
Wondering
If they will explode
One day
Causing us a melt down?

Forgiveness is the key
To lighten the load
Of the crosses we carry
Within a meditative awareness
Learn to give and receive
Forgiveness
Just like that.

Forgiveness is powerful
Forgiveness is magical
Especially
When we realize the hold
It has on us.

The real acceptance
Of who we are
Tis
Under the burdens
We carry around.

With the power of choice
Forgive and heal
As the outer wrappings
Release
Leaving only
The beauty of love
In your heart.
