Another's Life 10/23/2024

Green with envy
Can sometimes feel
Monstrous
As the hairs on your neck
Stand up
A tightness
In your gut
Feels sickening
Wondering
Who is showing up
In this disgust.

As you notice
These physical
Changes
Become aware how
Envy has surfaced
From inside out.
 
Pause now
 To breathe
Deeply and slowly
Exhaling the angst
You are feeling
 For envy is
Bottled up love
As you wish your life
Twas more
Like another’s.
 
Look deep
Into your heart
Welcome gratitude in
For what you
Already have
Don’t allow the
Green eyed monster
To appear anymore.

 Send love
And kindness
To the other’s story
And be grateful
Their life
Is going as planned.

Now
 Come back within the heart
Give praise to yourself
As you provided
Compassion
And tenderness
To another
On this journey
Called life.
