Timelessness 7/18/2024
As each day passes
And the body ages
With grace
And dignity
There is a foreboding
Presence
Standing on the path
Blocking me.
Could that be fear of death
Standing in my way?
Wanting to recognize it
Desperately
As it approaches closely.
Mindfully rememeber
Everything in life
Is impermanent
Nothing lasts forever
In the physical realm
For we were born
Into this dimension of time
For a reason
And a purpose
To experience
Whatever comes around.
Unleashing
A variety of emotions
From various events
That have come
Along the way.
Hoping one day
They will be tamed
Instead of being
Consumed by them
Leaving fragments
Of my heart
Scattered about.
In the grand scheme
Of timeless infinity
My physical life
Will cease to exist
But what I’ve learned
Will be transmuted
Into the infinite presence
As my soulful self
Thays
Expands and grow
Within the timelessness
Of the Universe.
