Ditties 1/4/2024

Nursery rhymes
Are short ditties
About life and love
We tell childern
To make them
Giggle and sing
Along.

But often
These ditties tell us
Something we
Need to understand
That’s disguised as
Simple words
Hidden with a
Deeper meaning.

Humpty Dumpty
Had a great fall
And struggled
Putting himself
Back together.

For his pieces
We’re scattered about
Making him feel
Unloved
And in despair.

Jack Be Nimble
And was quick
Tried to prove
To others he could
Jump over
A candlestick.

Rapunsel’s beauty
And long hair
Made her fearful
Of others
 So she hide
In a tower
Alone
Wishing
To be rescued.

These ditties
Show quirky actions of
Despair
Pride
And fear of life
Often revealing
Deeper emotions
Have surfaced
That need healing
From our past.

Perhaps it’s time
To be present
With each emotion
Comfort and love it
Integrate
Into your heart
To heal from
Inside out.
