Sweet Nothings 11/21/2023
Sitting in the silence
Of nature’s beauty
Feeling the plush greenery
Embrace my heart.
As I internally ask myself
What do I hear
Among the trees
Standing tall?
Perhaps
It’s the voice of life
Whispering
Sweet nothings
In my ear.
Perhaps it’s the pond
Pulling me closer
Revealing a message
From God the Universe.
Can I hear
The deepest of
Nature’s tones
Or do I only hear
What my mind
Wants to reveal.
Breathing in
The freshness of life
As the abundant silence
Embraces me like a
Warm hug.
We must
Quietly listen
For the undertones
Of our song.
So we may
Understand life
As an adventure
Pushing us through
Our fears.
Allowing us
To feel what’s
On the other side
Before our time is up.
