Shout Out 04/04/2021

Just didn’t know
Just didn’t care
Forgot I had a choice
When pursing happiness of self.

Looking and searching
Outside of myself
So many years
So much heartbreak
Where did I get lost?

Working harder and harder
Need more money and things
Chasing a neon rainbow
Fabricated by some else
Instead of me.

Louder and louder
Outside pressure’s too much
Pushing me past
The breaking point.

Screaming silently
I’ve had enough
So ready to choose
Something different for myself.

Hustling through fear
Finding space
Between my thoughts
Beginning to hear
Whispers of guidance
From my higher self.

Feeling the belief
Believing the feeling
That’s what it takes
To shout out
In a joyful song.
