Loss and loneliness
Unexpectedly arrives
Timing always
Inconvenient
As the heart cries out
Why oh why?

Emotions unstable
Stunned by the affects
Fumbling and stumbling
Around in circles
Looking for
The star of hope
As a way to calm
My reactions
In this moment.

Deep within the heart
A feeling resides
Magical and joyous
Often revealed
When helping others
During difficult times.

Find that sparkle
Within your heart
Always present
But sometimes clouded
By judgements
And perceptions
From a long ago.

So sparkle
Right this very minute
For peace and love
Will always heal
The wounded Self
No matter what season
Of life is transpiring.
