Just A Dream 6/17/2022

Life is just a dream
Or maybe not
Our story keeps
Playing
On and on
Like a phonograph.

Sometimes
Without rhythm
Or reason
And sometimes
With passion
And forgiveness.

We think
We are this
And that
But we are not
Making it difficult
To discern
What to believe
Within the heart.

We are not
The character
In the story
Or the disguise
We wear
For we are much more
Under the surface
Of all that.

The plot is our journey
Of understanding
With each character
Having a purpose
For living.

There will be drama
Of course
But often
We become
Too absorbed
We forget
The divine lessons
Of compassion
And Love
Found embedded
In the plot.
