How does one
Overcome
Feeling like
An ugly ducking
When others see
Something different?

For self-confidence
And worthiness
Is all about how
One perceives
Themselves
From inside
The heart. 

Physical beauty
And material things
Does not guarantee
Happiness. 

Tis more about
Wealth of gratitude
And mindful intentions
Made with the heart
Allowing one to change
The reactions
And direction
Headed
On the path of life.

One may find
The secrets of
Achieving happiness
Even with
No money in hand. 

Success
In material lifestyle
May bring comfort
For while
But emptiness
Will still
Linger inside.

Tis all about
Opening up
Becoming vulnerable
Releasing fears
That have shielded
Oneself
From connecting
To the divine light
Inside the heart
Where
Happiness and contentment
Existed
Inside all along.
