Fly Me Up 05/04/2021
Driving down
A country road
On a brisk
Winter morning
Scanning the tall barren trees
Seeing nothing
But space itself.
Looking for subtle messages
To fill my life
With hope
And to heal the hole
In my wounded heart
From a sudden
Physical loss.
Marveled
At the naked trees
With branches tall and thin
Revealing an eloquence
And natural beauty
For all who look upon them.
Fly me up
To the moon
My heart soars with delight
Feeling overwhelmed
With peace and joy
Could I be feeling Gods’ love
By looking upon nature
With a loving eye?
A comfortable presence
Wraps around me
Feeling protected and loved
As stillness
In the moment.
Hearing whispered messages
Of tenderness
Knowing in my heart
That
Everything will be alright.
