Curious Eyes 12/17/2023

Do you live with a suspicious mind
Looking at life?
Through suspicious eyes.

Or do you use
Your mindful awareness
To open doorways
Into the unknown
Using a curious mind
And seeing life
With curious eyes?

Some may say
It’s the same process
But I beg to differ
For suspicion
Is rooted in fear
Causing one to be anxious
And afraid
Limiting our viewpoints
Causing us not to step
Forward in stride.

Within a suspicious mind
Seeing life with suspicious eyes
We hide from becoming the person
We are meant to be
We refrain from reaching
Our full potential
Never revealing
Our unknown gifts
Because of the fear felt.

Within in a curious mindset
Miracles occur regularly
For our perceptions
And beliefs
Make it real
And we are
Deemed worthy
To receive them.

Breathe into this curiosity
Allow life to enfold
As our curious eyes
Begin to adjust
And focus
On what really
Matters in life.
