There are many
Chances to change
Many choices
To choose
Differently
When you allow
Yourself to lower
The shields of fear
That was placed
Long before
Your decision.

Little by little
Small steps
At first
Choose
Smoothing different
Embrace the newness
Of the moment
Become aware
Of this unfamiliar.

Learn to open
Your heart
Let go of fear
That’s clinging to you
Accept the differences
In this new realm
Of life.

Change can be exhilarating
Change can be illuminating
Like a firefly emitting
Light
In the darkness
And having fun
While doing it.

At every crossroad
You alone
Will always choose
Something different
Or something familiar
Follow your heart
To make a difference.
