Blinders Off 3/9/2023

Constant confusion
Rotates around
And within us
Always
Feeling anxious
And frustrated
At life’s regrets
And should nots.

Each day
Each moment
We must decide.

Do we look away
And ignore our struggles
Or open our hearts
Mindfully
And learn
What we must?

Tis a difficult task
Keeping our blinders off
While facing our fears
And leaning into the
Darkness that makes
Us afraid of living
Our true self.

It’s the
Courageous heart
That embraces something
Not understood
And not revert
Back to the familiar
At hand.

Yearning for
Peacefulness and
Freedom from
The daily turmoil
Is the catalyst
For clarity of vision
In our daily life.
