Before We Judge 07/26/2021

Words are mightier
Than the sword
Cutting deep
Into places that
Hurt the most.

Lingering
Past the expired time
Filling us with
Regret and remorse.

So before you judge
Allow forgiveness
To surface
Replacing all the
Hurtfulness
With love.

Speak the words
That should be said
To heal old wounds
Spoken in defense.

 Life is unpredictable
Not expecting the end
To come
 When it does.

So choose
Your words thoughtfully
Speak with kindness
Show compassionate actions
To yourself
And others
Close to your heart.

Let the walls down
Swallow your pride
Allow the inner light
To rise up
Showing the defensive self
This is how to live
Respectfully
With a soulful heart.
