Another Side 12/19/2022

How many versions of me exist?
How many masks do I wear?
Who am I beneath
My humanness?
Will I ever truly understand?

Feeling disjointed
Feeling disconnected
Searching for answers
To questions about life.

Need to find meaning
Or my sufferings
Will consume me
And I’ll disappear forever
Into confusion and chaos.

Choose to
Reflect deeply
Where quiet stillness
Resides
And just listen
Patiently

As the heart
Begins to speak
In the language of love
Slowly
Gratitude rises up
Revealing
Another side of me
Where compassion
And kindness
Thrives and grows.

Within this version of self
Many answers
Will be revealed
As the profound
Becomes clear
And all else
Aligns within the soul
Just so.
