A Friend 10/10/2021

Holding on life
Too tight
Can be exhausting
And tiresome.
For most of us.

For we can’t
Control anything
Except our thoughts
And outward
Reactions.

Impermanence in life
Exists for everything
But humans suppress it
Hoping to control
Or change it.

Struggles and sadness
Will grow within
For the illusion
Of physical immortality
Will never exist.

Just like
The natural cycles
Built within life
Growing and dying
Birth and rebirth
All exists for us
As a model
To live by.

Be willing to accept
Be willing to let go
Be willing to surrender
To the Divine Presence
Within the flow of life.

It will guide you
It will bring love
Even in your darkest hours
Like a friend
To lean on
For comfort and support.

Allow impermanence
Within your life
To flow
It’s natural course
As you learn to
Accept it with love.
