Tiny hummingbird
At my window
Saying hello
This early morn.

Your wings vibrate
Quickly
Wondering how
You hover
In the air
So effortlessly.

Colorful and diminutive
Your appearance seems
But your inner strength
And resilience
Are deceiving
For those who see
Only a little birdie
Flying.

Never judge
What you only see
Verse what you feel
For it’s the heart and soul
That connects emotions
Guiding you
Subtly in life.

Stay as long as you can
Little birdie
Don’t fly away
To quickly.

So I may feel your
High energy
As a catalyst
To brighten my day
Offering me
Another chance
To feel love again.
