Right Now 11/11/2021

The pain is raw
Just hiding in bed
Suppressing my emotions
That need to be
Expressed.

Drinking
Alcohol
To dull the senses
Not willing to
Seek healing
At the moment.

Right now
In this darkest hour
Who is
Trying to help
A friend, a parent
Perhaps God himself.

“Right now”
There’s a choice
And free will
To help choose
What to do
And what to feel.

“Right now”
Breathe deeply
Several times
In and out
Feel the calmness
Begin to bubble up.

Dig deep
Into the core
Ask silently
Within the heart
“I need help
Can’t do this alone.’”

Feel these words
Believe them
With your whole being.

Continue deep breathing
Feeling and trusting
As your Guardian Angels
Wrap you
In healing love.

Moving gently
Out of bed
Accepting the guidance
Facing your emotions
With new inner strength
While softly hearing
Everything will be alright.
