Perplexed 10/24/2022

My heart was open
Wanted to help another
Pushed
And pulled them
Down a path
I thought they needed.

Perplexed
And puzzled
While learning
It’s all about
The other’s choices
And soulful plan
Of action.

Continued with compassion
And kindness
Creating a safe space
From them to learn
And transform.

Twas a difficult task
Letting go
Of expectations
And perceptions
About the other’s
Way of perceiving.

Slowly learned
About patience
And letting others
Be themselves
Is the best medicine
For soulful growth
With both
Hearts in mind.
