Never Lose Sight 07/10/2022

Feeling frustrated
Once again
Not understanding
Different opinions
With a loved one
That make a situation
Get out of hand.

Why do we cling to
What we feel we need
And request others to change?

Tis not an easy task
Indeed
For the human mind
Likes control
And the familiar
At hand.

Allow yourself
To step into silence
Of your heart
And breathe deeply.

Slowly awareness
Opens
Realizing we can’t
Change other’s thoughts
So why not
Remember love
For the other
Instead.

Human life is short
Within the grand scheme
So why not live
Within love
Instead of struggling.

Never lose sight
That change begins
Within first
Then watch how
Others slowly change
Around you.
