Heart Beats 09/16/2021

I often wonder
Where I would be
If your gentle love
Didn’t rescue me
From the depths
Of my grief
And depression.

Twas difficult indeed
For the pain was heavy
But you were with me
Offering guidance
And comfort
Saying often
Everything will be alright

Embraced
My inner strength
Motivated me to follow
The desire within
To connect with my son
In heaven.

Feeling my pain
Within a mindful state
Allowed myself
To heal gracefully
Making room for love
To enter my heart.

Now
My heart beats
With you
Feeling your presence
Subtly and discrete
Always making me
Feel brand new.

No doubts or judgements
Understanding now
Life is a training center
Where difficult lessons
Must be learned.
