Slipping Away 10/30/2021

Walking a tight rope
A fine line in thin air
With the emotional self
As we learn
To identify
Out of alignments
Within our heart.

The next time
Fear and anger
Pop their beastie heads
Into life
Don’t overreact.

Stop to notice
Learn to feel
Their presence
In order
To sooth and calm
The emotions
Like a Lion Tamer.

Don’t resist
Difficult emotions
Even
When you’re feeling
Life’s love
Slipping away fast.

Take a deep breath
Exhale
Your resistance
Dig deep
Into your inner core
That place
Of divine silence.

Find your resilience
And self confidence
As you connect
To your Lion Tamer
That resides
Within your soul.

Befriend your emotions
Tame them
With love
They will become
Your best friends
Letting you know
When something
Is out of order.
