Here I am
Ready to face the day
All my worries subsided
Feeling empowered by love
And my inner light
Just waiting to meet myself
At today’s front door.

Taking a first step out
Preparing to encounter
What needs to experienced
To make my life
Fuller and richer
In the eyes of God.

Feeling my courage
Rise up
Sensing my truth
Lighten
Ready to face
The demons of my mind
And the actions of others.

Unknown of what
Will occur today
Keeping thoughts subdued
And emotions balanced
Getting another chance
To express love
And gratitude
In any way possible.
