Always Be 7/30/2022

In a flash of a moment
Time stood still
As I remembered
Your innocent smile
When you were
Just a boy of nine.

Curious about everything
Inquisitive about space
Often astonishing me
With your knowledge
For someone your age.

An old soul of the heart
Sensitive
To other’s feelings
A people pleaser
Indeed.

Gently sighing
You’ll always
Be my baby
No matter what
Your actual age
Might be.

Time has flown by
Your divine destiny
Fulfilled
My physical grief
Healed
Allowing our souls
To be free.

Showers of gratitude
Received everyday
As you watch
From heaven
As I fulfill
My own destiny
Helping others
To heal from loss.
